When a major disaster strikes, local needs often outstrip the available local resources. In such catastrophes the whole church marshals its resources and reaches out to help.
Caroline Furnace Lutheran Camp - The
purpose of CFLC is to provide an intentional Christian communal experience where
one meets God in God's awesome creation. What should the camper expect?

Executive Director -- each camp day is centered in Christian community as
campers engage in prayer, nature, bible study, hiking, swimming recreation,
worship, crafts, and campfires. This is a great opportunity for all children

READ Center - The READ Center is a non-profit agency that provides adult literacy services in
the city of Richmond, VA and the surrounding counties of Chesterfield, Hanover,
and Henrico. Through one-to-one tutoring, The READ Center's volunteers help
adults improve their basic reading and communication skills. All services are
free and are available to adults 18 years of age or older. For more information

Circle Center Adult Day Services, Inc. - Adult daycare is a comprehensive program that provides
opportunities and services for older adults with special needs. Circle Center
offers a warm, caring, safe and positive environment that promotes better
physical and mental health. The program helps maintain or increase daily
activity and friendships for the participant and provides peace-of-mind and
respite for the family. The goal is to help each person remain as independent as
possible, both at home and at the Center. The center was originally located at
First English, at that time it's name was Stuart Circle Center. The Center moved
to its present location at 3900 West Broad Street and changed it's name several
years ago. First English members Dick Harris and Betty Cochran
serve on the Board of Directors of the Center.
