150th Anniversary of First English Lutheran Church
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We have arrived at a momentous occasion in the life and history of our church! The 150th Anniversary of the founding of First English Evangelical Lutheran Church here in the city of Richmond, VA. Starting as a mission church, progressing to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and finally onward to the church we are today "In the City for Good" right here on Monument Avenue. We are planning a year long celebration to honor our past and look to the future by scheduling many different activities and commemorations between September 2025 through November 2026. We welcome you to check the website for calendar updates, attend worship often to hear special prayers and speakers, and read the weekly updates to be aware of our various activities to celebrate First English and give thanks to God for this ministry over the years. We hope you enjoy the coming year and may God bless you all at First English Lutheran Church (1876 - 2026)
